Chronicle - Bill Organizer App Reviews

I own several bill tracker apps, and I definitely prefer how Chronicle shows me upcoming bills: with a split screen with a calendar on top & "soon" bills on bottom. Ive used Billminder for 2+ years, but it hasnt been updated since 2013, and it was causing a battery drain in my 5s, by crashing in the background (per Apple Genius Bar diagnosis of weird battery drain). So, goodbye Billminder, hello Chronicle, my new bill-paying assistant. And, it IS a good idea: I havent paid a bill late since Ive been using Chronicle. Thats the only thing Ive changed, and my credit score is gradually improving, as old late payments drop off my record over time. (Credit Karma is a fast app to check with).

Been up and down with bill reminders forever. This is the first one that does exactly what I wanted one for. No charts, no graphs, no complicated formats. Just enter, pay, and you are done. iCloud synch to my iPad makes it even better. Shows up in the Notification Center Today screen too. It doesnt look bad either, pretty attractive without being cute or cluttered. Its perfect for what I want. I would like a little bit more flexibility with repeat settings. Maybe let us assign our own categories to the icons. Gets better with time & updates.

I guess Ill be the lone wolf here. I have loved this app for a long time. However, the recent changes made have really jacked up syncing via iCloud between the iOS version and the MacOS version. I have reset several times, and the issues still persist. If you plan on using the app in this manner, I would advise against it until the problem gets corrected.

I have been using this app for awhile with no problem but after the last update is not working it keeps closing on me while I use it

Two year whit this APP

Update: need dates on bills, not in the calendar - on all bills! UPDATE: Still no way to change to autopaid on iPhone. Missing a lot of features Update: Need to be able to change the time of notifications I need to be able to rename and/or add my own categories. Also need more subcategories for phone number, account of info and much more. Please check and compare to other similar apps

Great app, but constantly crashes on me.

This app could be one of the best on the App Store, however somewhere along the way the developers tweaked it in a not-so-good-way. It used to be you could enter an amount that you would like to pay (partial or in-full) and it would record it and display the updated amount - it no longer does this, so you are left with guessing the amount still owed after entering the partial. Fix this and it will be awesome.

The app could never sync properly

I love this app and have been using it for quite some time. Lately, I havent even been able to enter in a payment without it crashing. Its also got quite a lag to it. Fix that, and its perfect. Simple and user friendly. Just what Im looking for.

non stop crashing on ipad, great idea but would like it to work.

I have tried several other bill manager applications but was always left feeling it was poorly designed, a resell, or created by a kid someplace. Not so with this one. I use it on an iPhone and after taking the chance of spending 5 bucks on it was not disappointed. It works so well I spent the additional money to put it on my iMac and it linked and works perfectly

Ive been a desktop user of Chronicle since 2012. When the iOS version was first released, I downloaded it immediately. Its fantastic. The syncing integration using iCloud sync is effortless and works beautifully. You control how you receive your alerts for your upcoming bills so you never have to make a late payment again, definitely worth the price of admission. LittleFin is constantly adding new features and functionality with the app. This takes a lot of development time on their behalf yet, so far, each update has been completely free. The interface is gorgeous, very "Apple-like." If youre looking for a comprehensive bill management app on iOS, this is the one. Highly recommended!

Syncing does not work.

Mostly good but the iCloud with with MacOS is unreliable. I paid bills on iOS and MacOS version says I still havent paid!

You should say clearly that it does not sync with iCloud (only with Dropbox).... The Mac version is syncing with Icloud on my both macs and this app only via Dropbox......???????

Great App. Needs iCloud support as well as Auto sync periodically. Needs iPad version. Would also be nice to have the amount due showing on the main display.

Would give it 5 Stars if they make ICloud Sync. It would be nice to have the option to make your own categories and more logos. Otherwise a great app works like a charm.

This is a brilliant app, beautifully engineered, and well supported by the development team. I no longer have to wonder if I have paid a bill or not as Chronicle tracks each bill (whether its a manual or automatic payment), and allows me to customize everything. This latest update to a "universal" app makes it even more useful for the iPad. Its just what I was waiting for. Thanks for continuing to make improvements and for providing ongoing support to an extremely useful tool.

Chronicle Touch for iPad + Chronicle Mac = awesome!
